Pursuing Excellence On and Off the Court

My name is Ezra Jamison. I stand 6'4", and I’m proud to call Charlotte, North Carolina, my home. As a dedicated student-athlete, I have a vision that reaches far beyond the basketball court. I’m currently attending junior college, and I’m working hard to earn the chance to continue my academic and athletic journey at a four-year university. My goal is to make a significant impact both as a player and as a scholar wherever I go. 

I believe my adaptability is one of my strongest assets. I can seamlessly fit into any basketball system—whether it’s run-and-gun, motion offense, or flex offense—and I adjust well to different coaching styles. Defensively, I’m equally versatile: I’m comfortable playing man-to-man, zone, press, and trap defenses. I take pride in reading the game, communicating with my teammates, and locking down my assignments. My commitment to improvement is evident in my rigorous schedule, which I have maintained since the beginning of my college career. I regularly wake up before dawn to train and practice, all while managing the demands of my academic workload.

As a young Afro-Latino man, I strive for success not only in basketball but also in life. I am taking honors-level courses to prepare myself for a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. My ultimate dream is to design, build, and develop my indoor amusement park and to open the next Black-owned theme park in the United States.

On the court, I set ambitious goals for myself. By 2027, I aim to achieve an 80% shooting percentage while earning a spot on an NBA roster. I know that reaching this goal will require unwavering resilience, focus, and relentless hard work, and I am fully committed to giving my all.

I am ready to bring my determination, versatility, and leadership to the next level, both as a valuable member of your competitive basketball program and as a future innovator in engineering.
